Foster City Library

Summer 2025 library internship, youth programming, and community outreach

During Summer 2025, I worked as an intern at Foster City Library, supporting youth programs, daily operations, and community outreach. I also helped represent the library at the county fair and taught a Scratch programming class for younger students.

The internship built on the programming classes I had helped teach at the library the previous summer and gave me more responsibility for helping students work through their own projects.

This internship was separate from my earlier summer programming classes. As part of the internship, I taught a Scratch programming class for young students. I introduced concepts such as loops and conditionals, then guided students as they experimented, asked questions, and built creative projects in Scratch.
